Over the years, the Society has assembled an important collection of archaeological and historical material as well as a library and archive relating to the local area. Members of the Society have long been involved in the development of a museum in Axbridge and many AALHS members have considerable knowledge and expertise in relation to the collections and the wider heritage of the area. The holdings of the AALHS are either displayed in King John’s Hunting Lodge or stored in the Old Court Room in the Town Hall.
