Somerset Parks and Gardens

A talk by James Bond  entitled Somerset Parks and Gardens.

James Bond graduated in Historical Geography at Birmingham University. He rapidly developed an interest and expertise in archaeological field survey and the evolution of the English Landscape. He has worked as a field archaeologist in Worcestershire and in the Oxfordshire Museums Service.

In 1996, James moved to North Somerset and worked independently as a freelance landscape investigator. He regularly contributed to the continuing education programmes of the universities of Oxford and Bristol. James has published extensively on aspects of the development of the landscape including in 1998  ‘Somerset Parks and Gardens: a Landscape History.’
